Our restaurant, located at 12535 NW Cornell Rd, Portland, OR, 97229, presents some of the finest wine Argentina has to offer at accessible prices. All bottles in our wide-ranging portfolio are single-vineyard, limited production wines from the top winemaking regions in and around the heart of Mendoza’s Uco Valley. In contrast to most high-end restaurants, LaChona stores and serves all bottles and glasses at proper temperature, thereby enhancing the aromas, softening the mouthfeel, and amplifying the finish of every glass. Our unique tasting room wine flights provide the perfect opportunity to taste specific tiers or span across them before settling on a full glass or bottle. The opportunity to enjoy our wine at home with friends and family rounds out the experience where customers are given the option to subscribe to one of our available wine clubs.

LaChona offers three tiers of red wine club subscriptions: Norte y Sur (our most accessible portfolio of young wines), Reserva (barrel aged for 6-10 months), and Gran Reserva / Icon tier (barrel aged for 12-18 months). We also offer our Blanco y Rose tier featuring our White Malbec and Amelia Rose options. All wine club members enjoy 25% off the tasting room bottle price as part of their membership (when purchasing 6 or more bottles), and are allowed to bring their bottles to the tasting room with no corking fee.

About La Chona

LaChona Empanadas y Vinos Argentinos embodies the heart and soul of Argentina’s esteemed food and wine heritage. Our food menu consists primarily of family recipes passed down across multiple generations, with the majority coming from our beloved Abuela Chona. Family favorites including the namesake Abuela Chona, Criolla, Sweet Beef, and Chorizo highlight the menu, with chicken and veggie options also available. The LaChona wine portfolio stem from vineyards located in and around the heart of the Uco Valley. Mendoza’s Malbec, Cabernet Franc, and Bonarda are among the finest produced internationally, all thanks to the winemaking expertise that flourishes in Mendoza and the surrounding areas. Such expertise has guided the farming, harvest, and production of LaChona’s single-vineyard wines, where our Reserva, Gran Reserva, and Icon lines are produced in very limited quantities to maximize uniqueness of expression and drinking experience.
